Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Turn on Your Mac

2. Connect the Keyboard

  • Plug the USB-C cable from the docking station into your Mac.

3. Automatic Keyboard Setup

  • The Keyboard Setup Assistant should open automatically.

  • If it doesn't open:

    • Go to the Apple menu and select System Settings

    • Click Keyboard.

    • Click Set Up Keyboard...

4. Use the Keyboard Setup Assistant

  • When the Keyboard Setup Assistant window appears, click Continue.

5. Identify Your Keyboard

  • Follow the on-screen instructions:

    • Option 1: Press the key to the right of the left Shift key (the Z key).

    • Option 2: Press the key to the left of the right Shift key (the / or ? key)

6. Select Keyboard Type

  • Choose your keyboard type (select ANSI for your keyboard).

7. Finish Setup

  • Click Done.

8. Confirm Your Keyboard Works

  • Open a document or text editor and type to ensure all keys function correctly.

Tip:
If you need to adjust keyboard settings or shortcuts later, revisit System Preferences > Keyboard to customize options like keyboard shortcuts.
